NDN Privacy Statement

Protection of your personal contact information is of highest priority to the National Dialogue Network (NDN). A U.S. Zip Code is required to download our “conversation kit” and gives NDN the ability to map where people are participating within the United States and how effective our outreach is.

When we ask for your name, email and (optional) phone number, we use it at your request  to help attract someone who might assist you in facilitation of your in-person gathering. Negotiations with any facilitator who contacts you are strictly at your discretion.

We limit the amount of your personal information that we collect to that which is necessary for communication purposes and to understand basic demographics (in aggregate form) about who participates in the NDN. We do everything we can to make sure your contact information, email content, and response data remains private and confidential. Though authorized NDN volunteers reserve the right to monitor lists, content, and response data, we will never share, sell, or rent your personal data to anyone, or any third party, for any reason. We retain personal information only as long as necessary to compile NDN Reports after a topic round of in-person forums and online survey has been completed.

Information gathered for reports, or in a survey, is always in aggregate form and never in a way that could identify individuals. Your personal information is NEVER included in the NDN Reports and we do NOT combine your survey responses with your personal contact information. NDN disposes of personal information in a secure manner that prevents disclosure; and takes organizational, technological, and physical measures to securely safeguard personal information.

Your Email Address

The only emails you’ll receive from NDN are emails related to your participation. We will not sell your email address. We will not rent it, and we maintain ongoing security checks and upgrades to maintain protection from online commercial predators. If you receive correspondence from us requesting information, or your input on issues, we will explain the reasons behind the request and for what purpose this information will be used. The choice to participate is always your decision.
